The odd little bits of story and character that had been floating around in my imagination all my adult life created the First Act of the overall ​Adam Forwarder saga. Going into the Second Act of this series, developing the characters and themes I'd created in the First Act, though, I was no longer translating what had been in my imagination into words but actually creating fiction, and, since that was the case, the question arose within me, if that's what I'm doing, is this the story I most want to continue to tell? Until a few months ago, the answer to that question was definitely yes.
