Before:

The creature that'd slammed into the wall?

     Huge and muscular.

Avoiding its' claws, Niki clutched the moth thing to swing at the creature like a matador's cape to slash its' gown and bloody its back.

     The creature turned, roaring.

Some sort of furry animal, something like a bear or a lion on two legs.

Male. Easy to tell, even though he wore a gown.

His rage had, er, excited him.

     Niki stood firm.

She concentrated her strength into her left fist.

She looked full into the mammal's eyes, daring it to come at her.

     He couldn't resist.

It became all about the timing.

Niki swung her fist at the exact moment that idiot mammal ran full into it.

     KA-BAM!

The blow didn't knock the creature completely off his feet, but it stunned him.

Niki planted herself, concentrated her strength into her fist a second time, then swung at the mammal like a major leaguer swinging for the bleachers.

     KA-BAM!

His fur cushioned his fall as he dropped back to bounce a couple of times on the floor, out.
