Fifty miles off the face of the Earth, and the Technolica ark stopped.

     The beam that was The Fours, a hundred miles in circumference as it left the Earth, narrowed the higher it rose into the sky.

     The bottom of the ark opened. 

     By the time the beam reached it, it was only as round as the ark itself, but so much more intense as when it left the Earth. 

     It was like the ark was some sort of storage battery. 

     A battery that sucked up all that was The Fours.

     And, as the beam filled the ark, the ark expanded. 

     Within hours, it would be as big as the planet Earth itself.
